Indonesia’s Prabowo Reshuffles Cabinet, Appoints New Ministers

JAKARTA, April 27 (Bernama) -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Monday reshuffled his cabinet, appointing new ministers and senior officials in a move aimed at strengthening key portfolios.

Chairman of the All-Indonesia Workers Union Confederation (KSPSI) Mohammad Jumhur Hidayat was appointed Environment Minister and Head of the Environmental Control Agency (Badan Pengendalian Lingkungan Hidup/BPLH), replacing Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, Antara news agency reported.

Hanif Faisol Nurofiq was, in turn, appointed Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs and took the oath of office on Monday.

In other appointments, former army chief Dudung Abdurachman was named Presidential Chief of Staff, replacing Muhammad Qodari, who was appointed Head of the Government Communications Agency (Badan Komunikasi Pemerintah/Bakom).

Meanwhile, Abdul Kadir Karding, former Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (2024–2025), was appointed Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency.

Former Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi was appointed Special Presidential Advisor for Communications.

Prabowo presided over the oath-taking ceremony for the newly appointed officials on Monday.
