10,677 PDRM Personnel Receive Excellent Service Award 2025 - IGP

KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 (Bernama) -- A total of 10,677 personnel of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) received the Excellent Service Award (APC) 2025, in recognition of their contributions, sacrifices and loyalty.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said the recipients comprised senior officers, junior officers and civil staff from various departments.

He said each recipient received an APC certificate and an incentive of RM1,000 in the form of a National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) Prime account.

According to him, the eight per cent quota set by the government for the award makes the selection process highly competitive.

“Based on the quota, 1,090 senior police officers, 8,612 junior police officers and 975 civil staff were selected,” he said at the PDRM APC 2025 ceremony at Bukit Aman today.

Among the recipients were Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar and Bukit Aman Special Branch I deputy director Datuk Azman Abd Razak.

Mohd Khalid said the selection criteria had been tightened, with the minimum performance score raised from 85 to 90 per cent.

The assessment also covers discipline, attendance records, health levels, including Body Mass Index (BMI), and participation in external activities, in line with efforts to strengthen a high-performance work culture.

He added that integrity remains a core principle, which cannot be compromised in the service, and that true excellence is measured by the level of public satisfaction and confidence in the force.
