PARIS, May 7 (Bernama-dpa) -- Isolated unrest broke out in Paris after Paris Saint-Germain secured a place in the Champions League final on Wednesday, leading to 127 arrests across the metropolitan area, reported German Press Agency (dpa).
French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez told Europe 1 radio on Thursday that 11 people were injured, one of them seriously, while 23 law enforcement officers sustained minor injuries.
French media reported that fans gathered to celebrate around the Parc des Princes stadium and on the Champs-Élysées following PSG's 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich.
The result was enough to secure a 6-5 aggregate win.
Gatherings on the Champs-Élysées had previously been banned. As a result, police used tear gas in isolated incidents.
Last year, violent riots broke out in Paris following PSG's Champions League victory.
Perpetrators looted stores, smashed windows and set cars on fire, but there have been no reports of such scenes this time around. Back then, 294 people were arrested.
