761 Kelantan SPM High Achievers Get Laptops, RM1,000 IPT Aid

KOTA BHARU, May 23 (Bernama) -- A total of 761 children of e-Kasih aid recipients in Kelantan who achieved excellent results in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination received a laptop and RM1,000 in early assistance for entry into higher education institutions (IPTs).

The Finance Minister’s political secretary, Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim, said through the initiative, the MADANI Government was not only delivering assistance but also providing early encouragement for recipients to pursue higher education with greater confidence and preparedness.

“We are implementing this programme in a targeted manner under the Sejahtera MADANI initiative managed by the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (ICU JPM), and this assistance is specifically given to students from underprivileged families listed in the e-Kasih database.

“I hope this contribution will help ease the burden on their families and facilitate arrangements for them to further their studies to the next level,” he said.

He told reporters this after the Laptop Contribution and Early Assistance for Higher Education Programme at the Kota Bharu Polytechnic here today, which was also attended by Kelantan ICU JPM director Dr Wan Nur Ibtisam Wan Ismail.

Meanwhile, recipient Nur Intan Farhana Mansur, 18, said the assistance provided by the government would be put to good use in preparation for pursuing foundation studies in science at Universiti Teknologi MARA Shah Alam.

“My father, Mansur Mat Jusoh, 46, works as a labourer and I am the eldest of six siblings.

“This assistance has, to some extent, eased the financial burden on our family and I would like to thank Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for being so caring towards the people,” she said.
