Danish Iftikhar Finishes Seventh In Asian U-20 100m Final

KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) -- National sprinter Danish Iftikhar Muhammad Roslee settled for seventh place in the men’s 100 metres (m) final at the Asian Under-20 Athletics Championships in Hong Kong today.

At the meet, the 19-year-old clocked 10.43 seconds (s) in the final race held at the Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground.

The gold medal was won by China’s Dai Hongyu, who recorded a time of 10.28s, while Hong Kong’s Kwok Chung Ting claimed silver in 10.35s.

The bronze medal went to Japan’s Yasukawa Tsubasa, who also posted a time of 10.35s.

Earlier, Danish qualified for the final after finishing sixth overall in the semi-finals with a time of 10.38s.
