KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 (Bernama) -- The Women’s Reading Club (KPM) is set to become a platform bringing together women from all age groups, including mothers, young women and girls, who share a passion for reading.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the club, which is scheduled to be launched in conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) today, will also ensure continued access to reading materials among the public.
“Today, I will launch the Women’s Reading Club at KLIBF. It is an important platform to ensure that access to reading materials remains uninterrupted, regardless of the challenges and tribulations that may arise,” she said in a Facebook post.
She also called on the public to support the establishment of the club as an effort to celebrate books and the reading culture, while advancing the aspiration of a reading city.
