KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (Bernama) -- Muhammad Rafiq Ismail proved his status as the king of the 2026 Singapore Open when he defended his men's category title after defeating Tun Hakim Tun Hasnul Azam in the stepladder final at the Singapore Bowling @ Rifle Range today.
The results published in the www.abf-online.org showed that Muhammad Rafiq, who advanced straight to the final as the top seed of the stepladder, registered 242 pinfalls to defeat Tun Hakim, who scored 226 pinfalls.
Earlier, Tun Hakim booked his slot in the final after overcoming Ahmad Muaz Mohd Fishol 247-175 in the semifinal stage.
Meanwhile, the women's category saw Lavinia Kho Jia Jie emerge as champion after defeating Nora Lyana Nastasia Norkamal in the final match.
Lavinia recorded 192 and 201 pinfalls in the two-game final to defeat Nora Lyana, who recorded 184 and 188 pinfalls.
Earlier, Lavinia advanced to the final after defeating Anis Hannan Romzi 258-166 in the semifinal match.
