SEATTLE (US) June 20 (Bernama-Anadolu) -- The United States defeated Australia 2-0 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup Group D match at Lumen Field in Seattle on Friday, June 19, Anadolu Ajansi (AA) reported.
Large crowds of spectators gathered outside the stadium ahead of kickoff, creating a vibrant atmosphere with colourful outfits and synchronised chants.
Among the supporters, several individuals carried Palestinian flags and banners displaying messages of solidarity with Palestine.
Speaking to Anadolu outside the venue, spectators Morina and Nick explained their motivations for displaying the symbols and sharing pro-Palestinian messages during the tournament match.
