Parties To Talks In Switzerland Agreed To Establish Committee – Qatar-Pakistan Statement

MOSCOW, June 22 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- In a joint statement, Qatar and Pakistan announced that the parties to the talks in Switzerland had agreed to establish a committee responsible for overseeing mediation efforts, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.

"Building on the memorandum of understanding, the parties have agreed to the establishment of a High Level Committee, which will provide political oversight on the mediation," the statement published by the Qatari Foreign Ministry said.

It also said that a communication line between the parties has been formed for the period mentioned in the MoU to avoid incidents and miscommunication with the aim of safe passage for commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.
