MELAKA, June 26 (Bernama) -- Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek today visited the family of a Form Two student who died after collapsing during a rugby training session at a school in Telok Mas on Wednesday.
In a Facebook post, she shared that she visited the family on behalf of the Ministry of Education (MOE) personnel to extend condolences to the parents of the late Muhammad Raiyan Nufael.
“May the soul of the late Muhammad Raiyan be placed among the righteous, and may his family be granted strength and patience in facing this test,” she said.
It was earlier reported that a 14-year-old student collapsed during a rugby training session before passing away at a school in Telok Mas at about 6 pm on Wednesday.
The teenager had reportedly only undergone about 15 minutes of training before experiencing shortness of breath while listening to a briefing delivered by the coach after a break.
