WASHINGTON, June 27 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) - US President Donald Trump unveiled the design of a new American passport on Friday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
"The U.S.A.’s New Passport, which says, “Welcome, but be good!”" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The image Trump presented features his official portrait, framed by the text of the US Declaration of Independence, signed in 1776, and elements of the American flag. The gold embossing is complemented by the head of state's personal signature.
Another spread features an engraving based on the famous painting "Declaration of Independence," with the inscription "United States of America 250" at the bottom.
In April, the US State Department announced a series of limited edition passports with a special design, including an official portrait of Trump, to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence.
