MELAKA, June 28 (Bernama) -- The Melaka Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Mini Carnival, held for three days starting last Friday, has recorded RM1.3 million in sales as of yesterday, said Senator Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh.
The Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister said 200 goods were on offer during the carnival, which drew about 10,000 visitors.
“The Jualan Rahmah MADANI (held in conjunction with the mini carnival) is a programme that people always look forward to, especially with the ‘happy hour’ sale that offers discounts of up to 50 per cent,
“It really helps people cope with the cost of living,” he told reporters after officiating the Melaka KPDN Mini Carnival: Rahmah MADANI 2026 at Dataran Klebang here today.
Meanwhile, Fuziah said the KPDN received 446,247 complaints last year, 8,475 of which were related to online transactions.
She said that as of June 27 this year, a total of 28,419 complaints had been received, with 5,588 involving online transactions.
At the event, Fuziah also launched the book titled Pengembararan Kippy Bersama Penggunaan Cilik, produced by Melaka KPDN, which aims to foster consumer awareness from a young age, enabling future generations to make smarter choices, understand their rights as consumers and practise prudent spending.
