KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 (Bernama) -- DAP Socialist Youth (DAPSY) chief Woo Kah Leong has been appointed as the new head of Pakatan Harapan (PH) Youth.
In a statement, PH Youth said Woo, who is Pasir Bedamar state assemblyman, was selected during a meeting involving all youth wing components within the coalition today.
The statement also expressed deep appreciation to former PH Youth chief Dr Kelvin Yii for his contributions and leadership.
“His leadership has been a key pillar in championing the aspirations of the younger generation and strengthening the role of youth in mainstream politics.
“With this new leadership, PH Youth remains committed to advancing the reform agenda and fighting for the rights and welfare of young people, ensuring that the Unity Government and PH continue to uphold their voices and remain the preferred choice of the younger generation,” the statement said.
PH Youth pledged to mobilise its full strength to secure victory for the Unity Government’s candidate in the Ayer Kuning state by-election in Perak on April 26 and for PH candidates in the next Sabah state election.
