Kedah PKR To Strengthen Leadership Structure, Become Party's Best Stronghold

ALOR SETAR, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- The Kedah PKR State Leadership Council (MPN) will focus on strengthening its leadership structure and machinery readiness, as well as combining the experience of previous leaders with the spirit of the new generation to ensure effective and continuous operations.

Its Communications director, Tunku Nashrul Abaidah, said that in line with the party's increasingly solid and organised position, efforts to restore the state's role as an important stronghold will be carried out in a more focused manner through strategic planning, organisational strengthening and unity among leaders and members at every branch.

"The political approach of the Kedah Keadilah (PKR) will continue to be based on facts, clear solutions and advocacy for the interests and needs of the people.

"The party's priority is to ensure Keadilan remains close to the people through the understanding of local realities and the continuous efforts towards fair, transparent and credible governance,” he said in a statement today.

Tunku Nashrul said that in tandem with the direction of party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Kedah PKR will continue to engage with the people regardless of background, strengthen grassroots ties and demonstrate principled leadership in carrying out its responsibilities to the state.

He said that Kedah PKR aims to emerge as the best alternative for the people in this state by promoting solution-oriented politics, integrity-based leadership, as well as fair and credible governance for the overall well-being of the people.

Yesterday, speaking at the Kedah Keadilan Convention, Anwar expressed hope that the state would serve as the best stronghold model for the party in other states.

Anwar also said that he trusts in the party leadership at the division and branch levels, which form the foundation of PKR’s strength, and wants all members to work well as a team.
