SHAH ALAM, April 29 (Bernama) -- The Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting, which ran for seven days from April 21, was adjourned sine die today after addressing 196 questions and passing one bill.

The assembly yesterday approved the National Forestry (Adoption) Enactment Bill 2026, which seeks to adopt the National Forestry (Amendment) Act 2022 (Act A1667) to strengthen enforcement, management and conservation of forested areas in Selangor.

Speaker Lau Weng San said the sitting proceeded smoothly and expressed appreciation to all parties involved in ensuring its orderly conduct.

“I would like to thank all assemblymen, heads of departments, government officers and all parties for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth running of the First Meeting of the Fourth Term,” he said before adjourning the sitting.
