BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov 14 (Bernama) -- South Korean climate tech company Greenery, Inc. presented solutions for reducing emissions in agriculture and animal husbandry at the 29th UN Conference of the Parties (COP29).

At a talk entitled "Transition to Low-Carbon Agriculture and Animal Husbandry,” Greenery introduced its first case study: a rice paddy drainage system that reduces methane emissions and conserves water. By monitoring water levels and collecting climatic and soil data, the system quantifies and tracks emission reductions. As part of a data flagship program led by South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency (NIA), the project will be launched by the end of the year. The project's use of agricultural data attracted considerable interest, drawing inquiries about partnerships throughout the conference.
