KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 (Bernama) -- Co-opbank Pertama (CBP) has launched the Small Business Financing Scheme (SBF) to support entrepreneurs across all economic sectors in Malaysia, with a focus on high-potential industries.

Chief executive officer Khairil Anuar Mohammad Anuar said the scheme offers financing from RM5,000 to RM100,000, with a repayment period of up to seven years.

"The facilities offered under the scheme are for working expenses, working capital, the purchase of assets, machines, equipment and the renovation of business premises," he said in a statement.

Launched on June 12, the scheme is open to all Malaysians aged 21 to 65 who operate Shariah-compliant businesses and are competitive, he noted.

Additionally, the business must have been in operation for at least two years and be located within a 30-kilometre radius of any CBP branch, he added.

He said the introduction of SBF is also one of the bank's measures to expand its target reach.
