LUNA LIGHTS WONDERLAND LED BULBS EXPO TRANSFORMS NIGHT WITH COLOUR IN PASIR GUDANG

JOHOR BAHRU, June 27 (Bernama) -- The enchanting glow from 1.4 million light emitting diode (LED) light bulbs transformed the night with colour at the Luna Lights Wonderland exhibition held at Taman Bukit Layang-Layang in Pasir Gudang here.

Red Bear Event business and development manager Bella Fionne said the exhibition which started on June 20 and runs until July 29 is targeted to bedazzle about 300,000 visitors from home and abroad including Singaporeans.

She said Taman Bukit Layang-Layang which covers an area of ​​about seven acres was chosen as the Luna Lights stop in Johor, which is the third after Pahang and Terengganu this year.

“Among the factors we chose this park is because of the various facilities that are available and its area. We are targeting 300,000 visitors from inside and outside the country and in the seven days since opening, we (so far) have attracted about 50,000 visitors," she said at the Media Appreciation Day and Luna Lights Wonderland Dinner with Darul Hanan orphans here last night.

She said there are various attractions at the exhibition, including exhibits themed on aerospace, aquatic, romance, animals and wilderness; Love tunnel, Starwars tunnel, Avatar tunnel and food stalls.

Meanwhile, she said the exhibition also received recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for the largest lighting festival in Malaysia and 1.4 million LED light bulbs used in what must be the biggest tour to promote cheaper energy (light emitting diodes have no filament like incandescent bulbs).

According to her, the exhibition will travel to 10 states, which has started since May last year and so far Johor is the seventh destination.

Meanwhile, she said the organisation of Luna Wonderland also receives the cooperation of the Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG) through the 2024 Pasir Gudang Green Dynamics Festival .

The exhibition starts from 7pm until midnight and ticket prices are RM15 for adults and RM8 for children aged 12 and under.
