AMBASSADOR WISHES JAPANESE AND MALAYSIAN BADMINTON PLAYERS SUCCESS IN OLYMPICS 2024

KUALA LUMPUR, July 5 (Bernama) -- On World Badminton Day today, the Japanese Ambassador to Malaysia, Katsuhiko Takahashi, extended his heartfelt wishes to all Japanese and Malaysian badminton players gearing up for the upcoming Olympic Games 2024.

In a 1.47-minute video posted on the embassy’s official Instagram account, Takahashi, seen playing badminton with his embassy colleagues, said, “I would like to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to all Malaysian and Japanese badminton players for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

“May everyone remain in good health throughout the tournament," said the diplomat, emphasising the sport's popularity in both countries.

World Badminton Day, observed on July 5, celebrates the sport's global impact and the camaraderie it fosters among nations.

The Olympics will kick off with the opening ceremony on July 26, and the Games will continue until August 11.
