KUALA LUMPUR, July 25 (Bernama) -- KPJ Healthcare Berhad has unveiled its new shared values to all employees, emphasising enhanced patient-centric culture and driving its push to be a high-performance organisation as a vital part of the group's transformation.

In a statement today, KPJ Healthcare Berhad said the new shared values, a culture statement for the group, were represented by the acronym C.A.R.E and designed to transform the workplace culture.

C.A.R.E stands for Committed - dedicated to achieving shared goals and vision; Accountable - ownership and integrity in actions; Respectful - valuing diversity and dignity with courtesy; and Excellent - delivering exceptional quality and performance.

“These values also set the expected behaviours and shape the desired culture for KPJ Healthcare, becoming the foundation for its goal to be the preferred healthcare partner for its patients,” it said.

The group also recently embarked on a transformation journey based on five key initiatives, namely Asset Optimisation, New Sources of Growth, Digital First, Rebranding and Culture Transformation.

“While the first three are ongoing, rebranding and culture transformation will kick off in the second half of 2024. The group is set to launch its new brand on Aug 6, 2024, symbolising its renewed commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, KPJ Healthcare Berhad president and managing director Chin Keat Chyuan said the group's new shared values reflected its dedication to providing exceptional, patient-centric care and fostering an inclusive and innovative workplace.

"These are also part of our change management process, as we push ourselves to be a high-performance organisation,” he said.

The statement added that to ensure those values are adopted throughout the organisation, KPJ Healthcare would launch targeted training programmes for leaders and employees that focused on enhancing skills in patient care, teamwork, leadership and ethical decision-making.

It said KPJ Healthcare was also changing its systems and processes, which included adopting advanced software systems like Workday for human resources, ARIBA for procurement and nHIS for healthcare information to enhance transparency and improve collaboration within the organisation.

The group, it said, was also introducing new performance standards focusing on recognising and rewarding excellence, aiming to create a motivated and high-performing workforce to ensure it lives up to being Committed, Accountable, Respectful and Excellent in all operations.
