NEW YORK, Aug 20 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar weakened in late trading on Monday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.57 per cent to 101.885 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro rose to US$1.1081 from US$1.1021 in the previous session, and the British pound was up to US$1.2992 from US$1.2944 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 146.67 Japanese yen, lower than 147.67 Japanese yen of the previous session.
The US dollar fell to 0.8627 Swiss francs from 0.8670 Swiss francs, and it was down to 1.3634 Canadian dollars from 1.3689 Canadian dollars. The US dollar declined to 10.3145 Swedish kronor from 10.4409 Swedish kronor.
