KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 (Bernama) -- Nearly 600 Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) personnel from all departments participated in the National Day celebration at Wisma Bernama today.
Its chief executive officer, Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin, said she was thrilled to witness the staff spirit of togetherness and sporting attitude in participating in the planned activities such as the decorated car event.
“They demonstrated creativity and dedication, even willing to stay back after work to make preparations for the past two weeks. This reflects the spirit of unity (among staff members) in celebrating National Day,” she told Bernama.
She said the annual programme also aims to strengthen camaraderie in the agency’s five departments.
Nur-ul Afida also hoped the celebration would ignite patriotism among the staff ahead of the 67th National Day celebration this Saturday.
Present during the event were Bernama chairman Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai, editor-in-chief Arul Rajoo Durar Raj, deputy editor-in-chief (News Service) Nasriah Darus, deputy editor-in-chief (Economic News Service) Azlina Aziz and Management Services and Finance head Sharifah Zaini Syed Zain.
