The two dignitaries also had the opportunity to witness a demonstration of health procedures at the AFPM training centre.

Commenting on the new building, Dr Isriyanti said it is jointly owned with the Academy of Medicine Malaysia (AMM) and serves as a hub for collaboration and innovation in multidisciplinary healthcare.

She added that the centre based in Precinct 8 here will function as an academic training centre to support various medical activities, examinations and conferences.

Meanwhile, Dr Isriyanti said AFPM has so far produced 762 family medicine specialists while 277 doctors are undergoing the final phase of specialist training.
