KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has suggested that museums in Malaysia can be further enhanced by focusing more on showcasing the country's rich history and cultural heritage.

In a Facebook post, Anwar reflected on his recent visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, noting how the experience deepened his appreciation for the unique and vast cultural legacy of ancient Egypt.

“Yesterday, before departing for Cairo International Airport, the Malaysian delegation and I were honoured to receive an invitation from the Egyptian Government to visit the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza,” he wrote.

“I was informed that this newly opened museum is the largest of its kind in the world, housing more than 100,000 priceless Egyptian artifacts,” the post read.

Anwar said the Museum tour took place at the end of his four-day official visit to Egypt at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
