KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- For the first time, the public can obtain a copy of their lost Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results or a replacement certificate for RM10 at the Two-Year MADANI Government (2TM) programme and 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here.
Ministry of Education (MOE) Examination Board MyStep officer Muhammad Zairil Aiman Yusri said the original price for the replacement of an examination certificate is RM30 and the 'special rate' is only valid until the last day of the programme on Sunday.
"Those who sat for SPM in 1994 and later are eligible to enjoy this offer by being present physically (walk-in) at the MOE service counter during the 2TM programme to obtain an SPM certificate by simply presenting their identity card.
"In addition, replacement of the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) examination certificate can also be done but it is at the original price of RM30," he told Bernama here today.
Muhammad Zairil Aiman said for today, his party received encouraging response, with visitors expressing excitement when they saw the service offered at the MOE booth through promotional materials displayed there.
Visitor Megat Rafizi Megat Rozi, 32, from Cheras said it never crossed his mind to obtain a new certificate to replace the original certificate which is not so 'presentable after 15 years.
"Before, I didn not know there was such a service, so I do not want to missed the opportunity because at least the new certificate is better and clearer... from now on, I'll be more careful and store it properly," he said.
Another visitor, Nur Muhammad Zanini, 30, said he wanted to return to the programme tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, to replace his lost SPM certificate because he was late in finding out about the service since he only arrived at the convention centre in the afternoon.
"The certificate was lost a few years ago when I shifted house... so I am not going to miss the opportunity,” he said.
