KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 23 (Bernama) -- The RAHMAH telco booths at the Two Years of MADANI Government (2TM) programme and the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here stood out with their attractive range of affordable internet packages.

Five RAHMAH telco booths, featuring major telecommunications companies such as CelcomDigi, Maxis, and U Mobile, garnered a favourable response from visitors on the second day of the event.

Firdaus Ismail, 28, praised the Telco RAHMAH initiative as a valuable opportunity for low-income earners to access affordable internet services.

“I subscribed to the Maxis package at RM156 for both home internet and postpaid phone services. It’s a great deal,” he told Bernama, adding that the subscription process was fast and hassle-free.

Firdaus also expressed his gratitude for the government’s initiative in organising the event, which offered a range of services, including a free helmet exchange programme, discounts on traffic summons payments, and Telco RAHMAH.

“I didn’t expect to find so many services, including Telco RAHMAH. At first, I had no plan to subscribe to an internet package, but after seeing the attractive offer, I decided to apply,” he said.

Nur Wahida Abdul Salam, 28, from Klang, Selangor, said that the Telco RAHMAH booths featured a wide variety of affordable internet packages, enabling visitors to choose from according to their budget.

“The staff at the booths are very friendly and helpful. I opted for the basic package, which costs RM35 a month,” she said.

Aisyah Kamaruddin, 19, said that the various RAHMAH telco packages on offer allowed her to find an affordable internet plan tailored to her educational needs.

“I’m still exploring the available packages to see which one suits me best. I’ll probably decide by tomorrow, as I haven’t had the chance to visit many booths yet,” said the student.

Earlier, Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil said that leading telecommunications companies were offering various attractive Internet and device packages at the 2TM programme and the 2024 National Convention on Public Service Reform, which runs for three days starting yesterday.
