PUTRAJAYA, Dec 5 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Works (KKR) and its agencies today launched the KKR MADANI Flood Relief Mission to help flood victims in Kampung Bunohan and Kampung Baru Nelayan in Tumpat, Kelantan.
Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said about 50 people from these two villages could not be evacuated to relief centres and are currently staying with relatives or neighbours.
“This initiative aligns with the recent directive by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, urging all parties, including private companies, to contribute funds or provide machinery and manpower to assist during the ongoing floods affecting several states.
“This reflects the spirit of the Malaysia MADANI government, prioritising the welfare of the people regardless of the challenges faced,” he said in a Facebook post.
