CAMBODIA 

1.HONOURING WIN WIN POLICY THAT BROUGHT PEACE -- FRESH NEWS 

Cambodia will mark the 26th anniversary of the Win-Win Policy today, introduced by former Prime Minister Hun Sen to end the conflict with the Khmer Rouge. The national reconciliation policy allowed peace and stability to prevail in the Kingdom.

 

2.HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT TOP GOVT PRIORITY -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE 

The Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation Hem Vanndy said human resources development will remain the government’s top priority. He urged students going abroad for higher education on scholarships to return to their homeland and help the government in nation-building. 

 

MYANMAR

1.STAY UNITED TO FIGHT LOCAL AND FOREIGN SABOTEURS -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

New military cadets were advised to unite despite their diverse backgrounds to counter domestic and foreign saboteurs trying to cause disunity within the military. The trainees must uphold the army motto “Once a Soldier, always a Soldier” while serving the military.

 

2.NEW IMPORT, EXPORT FOREIGN EXCHANGE RATES -- THE GLOBAL NEW LIGHT OF MYANMAR

The Customs Department announced that starting January 1, tariffs on exports and imports will be based on the online market trading rate, rather than the exchange rate set by the Central Bank of Myanmar. These rates will be updated weekly.
