The value-added tax (VAT) reduction has been extended until June 2025. The eight per cent reduction from 10 per cent, introduced to help individuals and businesses cope with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, was originally set to end last year.
2.AUTHORITIES RECORD 18,000 FRAUD CASES IN 2024 -- VIETNAM NEWS
The customs department revealed that 18,000 cases of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods were recorded last year. The confiscated goods were worth RM5.5 billion (US$1.23 billion). Offenders exploited e-commerce platforms and social media to commit their offences.
