State, Federal Civil Servants' Cooperation Results In Perlis Clean Audit Certificate - MB

KANGAR, Jan 23 (Bernama) -- The Perlis government’s success in receiving the Clean Audit Certificate for the 2023 Financial Statements is primarily attributed to the exceptional cooperation between state and federal civil servants.

“I extend my highest appreciation and gratitude to the State Secretary and all civil servants involved in our efforts to achieve this clean audit,” said Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli to reporters after delivering his New Year's mandate at the monthly assembly of the state government administration, here today.

Also present was State Secretary Datuk Rahimi Ismail.

Meanwhile, Rahimi emphasised that the clean audit certificate is awarded by the Auditor-General following thorough financial and service audits, which was made possible by the support of all departments in Perlis.

“Alhamdulillah, with the leadership of the Menteri Besar of Perlis, the support of all state executive council (exco) members, and the cooperation of all departments, Perlis has proudly earned this clean audit. It is a source of pride for the state, as we look ahead to the future,” he said.

He also mentioned that their goal is to maintain this level of excellence in the coming years, with an aspiration to achieve a five-star rating from the Auditor-General, up from the current four-star rating.
