PUTRAJAYA, Feb 12 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) have denied arresting Suara Rakyat Malaysia (SUARAM) executive director Sevan Doraisamy as reported by several news portals today.

Putrajaya district police chief ACP Aidi Sham Mohamed said the police only recorded Sevan’s statement at the Putrajaya district police headquarters here today.

“Only recorded his statement, no arrest,” he told media briefly today.

Sevan had his statement recorded following allegations that he had entered the Home Ministry here on Monday without a pass.
