KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 26 (Bernama) -- The Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) and Carsome have launched three new initiatives - "My First Car", Work Insurance System (SIP) Contributor Campaign and SIP Skill Raising programme - aimed at tackling the mobility and skill gap among jobseekers.
Perkeso and Carsome issued a joint statement today stating that the My First Car programme will be for graduates registered with MYFutureJobs who wish to purchase their first vehicle, while the SIP campaign will provide a car discount of RM3,000 with a trade in bonus for SIP recipients.
“The last component is the SIP Skill Raising programme, which will utilise Carsome Academy to provide automotive training and work placements to ensure individuals are equipped with relevant skills for the job market,” they said.
Also, Perkeso group chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Seri Dr Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed said that the partnership reflected their joint commitment to help Malaysians find meaningful work.
"Through Perkeso’s social support and Carsome’s industrial expertise, the partnership will create a sustainable path towards securing jobs and long-term career growth,” he said.
Meanwhile, Carsome Academy CEO Teoh Jiun Ee said the partnership would help them nurture a group of new talent for the automotive sector and help individuals build skills needed to develop and progress in the rapidly developing industry.
