RIYADH, March 5 (Bernama-SPA) -- The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has reaffirmed its full support for the resolutions of the extraordinary Arab Summit, known as the "Summit for Palestine," held in Cairo, Egypt.
Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that during its session on Tuesday in Riyadh, the Cabinet underscored the summit's rejection of the displacement of Palestinians and its call for an end to the humanitarian crisis resulting from the ongoing war.
It also reiterated Saudi Arabia’s firm stance on the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Cabinet strongly condemned the Israeli occupation government's decision to block humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, calling on the international community to take responsibility for addressing these violations, ensure the continued flow of aid, and activate international accountability mechanisms.
In addition to discussing regional issues, the Cabinet emphasised the importance of the joint statement between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, which underscored the necessity of fully implementing the Taif Agreement.
This includes the application of relevant international resolutions, the extension of state sovereignty over all Lebanese territories, the exclusive possession of arms by the Lebanese state, the reaffirmation of the national role of the Lebanese army, and the necessity of the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from all Lebanese territories.
