MOSCOW, March 10 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- China will impose additional tariffs on a number of agricultural products imported from the United States on Monday in a tit for tat for duties imposed on Chinese goods.
An additional tariff of 15 per cent, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti, will be imposed on chicken meat, wheat, corn and cotton, while the tariff on sorghum, soybeans, pork, beef, aquatic products, fruits, vegetables and dairy products will be raised by 10 per cent.
US President Donald Trump signed an executive order in February slapping 10 per cent tariffs on imports from China.
He amended the order in early March to double the tariff to 20 per cent after accusing Beijing of failing to stop the flow of synthetic drug fentanyl to the US.
