CAMBODIA

1. COLD WAVE SWEEPS THROUGH KINGDOM -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE 

The meteorology office said that temperatures in Cambodia’s highland areas continued to drop to as low as 14 degrees Celsius today. The Kingdom has been experiencing chilly weather throughout the day in recent weeks. 

 

2. CAMBODIA-US TRADE HITS RM53 BILLION -- FRESH NEWS 

Cambodia and the United States (US) trade surpassed RM53 billion (US$13 billion) last year. Garments, travel goods such as bags and suitcases, bicycles, and spare parts are the main exports to the US.

1. SPEARHEADING DA NANG’S FTZ INVESTMENT -- VIETNAMPLUS

Plans to attract investors for infrastructure development at the Da Nang Free Trade Zone (FTZ) have been approved. The FTZ will contribute 18 per cent to the city’s gross regional domestic product and create 127,000 jobs by 2040.

 

2. HO CHI MINH EMBARKS ECO-FRIENDLY URBAN FARMING -- VIETNAMPLUS

Ho Chi Minh City will develop ecological urban agriculture to shift towards higher value-added products and sustainable development. The city is zoning seven high-tech agricultural zones covering more than 1,344 hectares, and is waiting for approval.
