KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 3 (Bernama) -- The “Tunku Negarawan Ulung: Pengasas Negara Bangsa” exhibition is now open to the public at the National Museum from Feb 1 to March 29, offering visitors deeper insight into the country’s nation-building journey and the foundations of national unity.

The Ministry of National Unity (KPN) said in a statement today that the exhibition, organised by the National Archives of Malaysia, highlights the pivotal role played by the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj in laying the foundations of a nation built on understanding, tolerance, justice and consensus among races.

Its Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, said understanding the history and legacy of past statesmen is crucial in shaping civilisation and reinforcing nation-building for the future.

“The younger generation, in particular, must recognise and value the leadership, wisdom and spirit of unity passed down by Tunku Abdul Rahman so that the nation can continue to thrive on the enduring foundations of harmony,” he said in the same statement.

The ministry highlighted that Tunku Abdul Rahman’s leadership not only guided the country to independence, but also provided a framework for governing and developing the nation within a harmonious, pluralistic society.

Open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, the exhibition showcases a rich collection of archival materials and historical documents, offering the public an educational experience while fostering the spirit of patriotism.

The public, particularly youth and students, are invited to explore the exhibition to appreciate the nation’s history and draw inspiration from Tunku Abdul Rahman’s enduring legacy of nation-building.
