NEW YORK, Feb 17 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar increased in late trading on Monday, Xinhua reported.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, went up 0.15 per cent to 97.066 at 3 pm (2000 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro dropped to US$1.1854 from US$1.1872 in the previous session, and the British pound fell to US$1.3632 from US$1.3650 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 153.49 Japanese yen, higher than 152.78 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar advanced to 0.7692 Swiss francs from 0.7679 Swiss francs, and rose to 1.3635 Canadian dollars from 1.3611 Canadian dollars. The US dollar increased to 8.9412 Swedish kronor from 8.9272 Swedish kronor.
