KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 (Bernama) -- Amidst the joy of the upcoming Aidilfitri celebrations, Agrobank has chosen to share a poignant story through a special Raya video titled “Maaf Saya …” (Forgive Me …), which highlights themes of empathy, acceptance and appreciation for the autistic community.
The three-minute video depicts a family’s emotional journey as they come to understand their child’s uniqueness, inviting society to recognise that every individual possesses distinct qualities worth celebrating.
The production features renowned actor Que Haidar in the lead role, portraying a father navigating an emotional path towards understanding and accepting his son's condition.
Agrobank president and group chief executive officer Datuk Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin said the special video is more than just a festive production, as it carries a profound social message for the public.
“The neurodiverse community is very close to our hearts at Agrobank. In fact, prior to this Raya video, we have consistently championed the work of neurodiverse individuals by featuring their art on our corporate merchandise.
“This initiative is part of our commitment to supporting and celebrating the diverse talents within our society,” he said at a press conference here following the video launch officiated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Datuk Chan Foong Hin.
Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah added that the initiative aligns with Agrobank’s commitment to building a more inclusive society that is attentive to those requiring special care.
Meanwhile, Agrobank is also organising a special campaign in conjunction with the video launch, offering the opening of deposit-free accounts for the first 300 autistic children nationwide.
Additionally, the participating children will receive the Agro Nurani personal accident protection plan free of charge, with coverage of up to RM11,500.
The special Raya video was uploaded to Agrobank’s official social media platforms at 8 pm today for public viewing.
