KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Malaysia-based Top Glove, the world's largest rubber glove firm, has reported higher earnings in the first half of fiscal year 2026, which ended on Feb 28, amid increased sales volume, Xinhua reported.

The firm said in a bourse filing on Wednesday that its net profit for the first half surged 93.92 per cent year-on-year to RM69.34 million (US$17.72 million).

The firm's revenue for the first half also climbed 6.73 per cent year-on-year to RM1.89 billion.

The group's sales volume rose 36 per cent as compared with the same period last year, signalling continued market recovery.

As for the second quarter, the firm's net profit grew 1.57 per cent year-on-year to RM30.76 million, while its revenue rose 13.74 per cent to RM1 billion.

The group said it remains confident in the glove industry's recovery, driven by steady demand across sectors.

Amid tensions in West Asia affecting nitrile latex supply, the firm is working closely with suppliers and customers to manage risks. (1 ringgit equals 0.26 US dollars)
