CAMBODIA

 

1.ADDRESSING MALNUTRITION AMONG GARMENT WORKERS -- FRESH NEWS

Japan, the World Food Programme and Cambodia’s Planning Ministry have jointly launched the "Breaking the Cycle of Malnutrition in Cambodia” project. Garment sector workers’ daily meals will now comprise fortified rice to improve their nutrition.

 

2.FOREIGN FUNDS TO FINANCE INFRASTRUCTURE -- AGENCE KAMPUCHEA PRESSE

Cambodia is seeking to secure US$2 billion (RM8 billion) from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The funds will support ongoing projects, including transportation, logistics and digital infrastructure.

 

INDONESIA 

 

1.INDONESIA TO SEND 756 PEACEKEEPERS TO LEBANON DESPITE WITHDRAWAL CALLS -- ANTARA

The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) confirmed that 756 personnel will be deployed to Lebanon in late May 2026 as part of a rotation for the UNIFIL peacekeeping mission.

The Foreign Ministry said that Vietnamese vessels operating in the West Asia corridors are safe despite tensions along the Strait of Hormuz. Cargo vessels and crew members can resume their journeys safely.
