MOSCOW, April 6 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- Miners trapped at a coal mine in the Luhansk region, after a power outage caused by a Ukrainian drone attack on a substation, have been lifted to a safe level, the government press service said Monday, reported Xinhua.
"The miners at the Bilorichenska mine have been successfully lifted to a safe level. Communication with the miners is ongoing, and air supply to the mine has been ensured," the statement said.
Power is expected to be restored in the afternoon, after which all miners will be brought to the surface, said Yuriy Govtvin, head of the region's power supply security headquarters.
