NEW DELHI, April 7 (Bernama) -- Pakistan's mediation efforts to stop the US-Israeli war against Iran have reached a "critical stage", Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam said on Tuesday.
Moghadam described Pakistan’s intensive diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire as “positive and productive”.
The endeavours are "approaching a critical, sensitive stage", he said in a post on X.
"Stay tuned for more," the Iranian ambassador added.
Israel and US President Donald Trump have issued fresh threats to blow up Iranian civilian infrastructure, including power plants, bridges and railway systems.
"Every bridge in Iran will be decimated by 12 o'clock tomorrow night, and every power plant in Iran will be out of business, burning, exploding and never to be used again," Trump said on Monday.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Tuesday that he and millions of Iranians are ready to lay down their lives to defend the nation.
"More than 14 million proud Iranians have so far registered to sacrifice their lives to defend Iran. I, too, have been, am, and will remain devoted to giving my life for Iran," he wrote on X.
