SHAH ALAM, April 8 (Bernama) -- The Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), through its Islamic Education Division, is inviting 2025 Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) graduates to apply for the Selangor Special Higher Education Scholarship to pursue studies at Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS).
In a social media post, JAIS said the scholarship covers three programmes: Bachelor of Usuluddin with Multimedia plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education; Bachelor of Quranic Language plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education; and Bachelor of Syariah and Law.
Applications are open to STAM candidates who obtained at least a Jayyid Jiddan (very good) grade. Applicants must also have a credit in Bahasa Melayu in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), a pass in English, and at least a grade B in Arabic.
JAIS added that successful applicants will attend a three-month intensive Arabic course abroad organised by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO)
The application is open in two intakes: from April 4 to May 22 for the first intake, and from Aug 3 to Oct 5 for the second intake.
