KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Bernama) -- Tan Sri Rozali Ismail will relinquish his role as Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd’s (PNHB) executive chairman and retire as director of the company, effective June 30, 2026.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, PNHB said Rozali, 69, will continue to serve in his present capacity during the notice period to facilitate a smooth transition.
“The board has deliberated on the above, taking into consideration, amongst others, his current health condition, personal commitments, and the need to ensure continuity of leadership as well as adherence to good corporate governance practices.
“The board wishes to record its sincere appreciation for Rozali’s longstanding leadership, dedication, and invaluable contributions to the company and the group. His vision and stewardship have played an essential role in shaping the growth and success of PNHB,” it said.
Rozali is the founder of PNSB Water Sdn Bhd, formerly known as Puncak Niaga (M) Sdn Bhd, and was appointed as the executive chairman of PNHB and the group on April 24, 1997.
In a separate filing, the company said he began his career as a legal advisor with the Urban Development Authority before joining Bank Islam (M) Bhd in 1983, where he conceptualised Malaysia’s first Islamic banking institution.
PNHB is a construction, property development, and environmental engineering group, following the sale of its water assets.
