KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have confirmed that no evidence has been found so far linking the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to corporate manipulation.
Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said investigations to date have yet to reveal any evidence of MACC’s involvement in the alleged activities.
“However, we will continue with the investigation as we have been instructed to do so," he told a press conference here today.
Mohd Khalid said police still need to record statements from several individuals in Malaysia and abroad.
He added that follow-up action is currently being taken to summon individuals abroad.
"We can call them in, but when it involves foreign countries, it requires cooperation on a government-to-government basis as well as between agencies," he explained.
