Strong Response To PLKN 3.0 Series 2/2026, As 1,350 Trainees Confirm Participation

KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) -- A total of 1,350 trainees are expected to report for the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0 Series 2/2026, with three training camps set to reach full capacity today.

National Service Training Department (JLKN) director-general Major General Datuk Marzuki Mokhtar said the registration process proceeded smoothly and in an orderly manner today.

“Based on the records in the ePLKN system, a total of 1,350 trainees have confirmed their attendance for this series.

“Of the total, 500 will be placed at Cawangan Latihan Khidmat Negara (CLKN) 505 Territorial Army (AW) camp in Pekan, Pahang; 250 at CLKN 515 AW camp in Kuala Lumpur; and 600 at CLKN Malbatt Village in Port Dickson,” he said in a statement today.

He said the addition of a new camp at Malbatt Village has enabled JLKN to increase its trainee intake capacity, thereby providing more opportunities for youths nationwide to participate in PLKN 3.0 in stages this year.

“Reaching full capacity reflects a collective commitment to nurturing a generation of youth who are patriotic, possess integrity and are ready to contribute to national development.

“It also shows that PLKN 3.0 continues to receive strong support and trust from young people and parents, reflecting the public’s confidence in the government’s efforts to shape a disciplined and resilient generation,” he said.

Marzuki said although Malbatt Village serves as an interim camp for housing PLKN 3.0 trainees for Series 2/2026, JLKN assures parents that the comfort and safety of trainees remain top priority.

“JLKN has implemented various facility improvements, including the installation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems in every accommodation block, as well as other supporting facilities.

“This initiative is to ensure a safe, orderly and conducive training environment, thereby supporting the effectiveness of the programme throughout its duration,” he said.

He said the facility was originally developed as Armed Forces Family Housing and has since undergone comprehensive upgrades to support specific training needs.

“It also serves as an accommodation centre for personnel undergoing Force Integration Training (FIT) before being deployed to Lebanon for peacekeeping missions under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

“PLKN 3.0 trainees placed here should feel proud, as this facility houses national heroes who serve under the United Nations (UN) banner.

“It is hoped they will remain motivated throughout the 45-day training period, carrying the aspirations and true spirit of the nation’s heroes,” he said.

Malbatt Village Camp, a strategic facility owned by the Joint Forces Headquarters located at Batu 5, Port Dickson, spans 2,980 square metres. It was officiated on Dec 10, 2016, by former 18th Chief of Defence General (R) Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin.

For the upcoming training series, JLKN reminded prospective trainees, particularly those born in 2008, to stay alert to announcements on the department’s official channels. Further information is available at https://jlkn.mod.gov.my.
