KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 (Bernama) -- KAIYI Auto has launched the X7 Hybrid in Cairo, marking the introduction of its seven-seater hybrid sport utility vehicle (SUV) in Egypt and expanding its presence in the Middle East and North Africa.
In a statement, the company said the launch supports its globalisation strategy and “global products + localised operations” approach, with the model tailored to Egyptian consumer demand for space, fuel efficiency and durability.
Designed for regional conditions, the X7 Hybrid has been optimised for high temperatures and challenging road environments, with enhancements to heat dissipation and chassis stability for urban and long-distance driving.
The vehicle combines intelligent hybrid technology, 5+2 seating and an intelligent cockpit, with a claimed combined driving range of more than 1,200 kilometres and support for external power discharge.
The launch event also marked the entry of the E5 sedan into Egypt, with both models positioned for family mobility and tested for desert conditions, including high temperatures and sandstorms.
Egypt is the second overseas market for the X7 Hybrid after Uzbekistan, and KAIYI said it plans to expand research and development, localisation investment and after-sales services in the market.
