SINGAPORE, May 6 (Bernama) -- Singapore Airlines Group (SIA) has extended flight cancellations to and from Dubai up until August 2, 2026 due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
The airline said flights SQ494 departing Singapore to Dubai and SQ495 from Dubai to Singapore will be cancelled.
"As the situation remains fluid, other SIA flights may be affected. Customers affected by the flight cancellations will be re accommodated on alternative flights or can seek a full refund of the unused portion of their ticket," it said in an advisory posted on Facebook on Wednesday.
The airline had earlier announced the cancellation of the same flights up until May 31, 2026 following the conflict.
Meanwhile, Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow in a written reply in Parliament on Wednesday noted that there are only 55 weekly flights between Singapore and Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai and Jeddah, as compared to 154 weekly flights before the conflict started in February.
