SEREMBAN, May 8 (Bernama) -- Police have arrested a man and three women suspected of being involved in a red paint-splashing incident at a house on Jalan Sungai Ujong here on May 3.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said police received a report from a 29-year-old man on the same day, stating that his house had been splashed with red paint by unknown individuals, affecting the gate, front door and two of his vehicles.
Alzafny said following the report, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Seremban district police headquarters arrested the suspects, aged between 23 and 34, in raids carried out in Taman Permatang Pasir, Melaka, yesterday and today.
“During the raids, police also seized two cars, a Proton Saga and a Perodua Myvi, four mobile phones, a container of red paint, a can of Sea Master red paint, as well as several pieces of clothing believed to have paint stains.
“Investigations found that two of the suspects have prior drug-related records, one under the Moneylenders Act 1951, while another has no prior criminal record,” he said in a statement here today.
He said the suspects also admitted to involvement in several paint-splashing incidents in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.
Alzafny said the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code, and all four suspects have been remanded for three days until May 10.
