KUALA LUMPUR, June 11 (Bernama) -- Participants in the HAWANA Fun Walk 2026 are invited to take part in an Instagram photo contest by sharing their best photographs from the event for a chance to win prizes.
The contest encourages participants to capture creative, cheerful and memorable moments during the event on June 14 and upload the photographs to their Instagram accounts.
Five categories are being contested, namely the happiest photo, best costume, most sporting participant, best group photo and best selfie.
To participate, contestants need only upload their selected photographs on Instagram using the hashtags #FWH2026, #FunWalkHAWANA2026, #JomJalan, #SihatBersama and #HAWANA2026.
Participants are also required to set their Instagram accounts to public mode to enable organisers to view and assess their entries.
Organised by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), the Fun Walk is among the activities lined up in conjunction with National Journalists' Day (HAWANA) 2026.
The highlight of HAWANA 2026 will take place on June 20 at PICCA Convention Centre @ Arena Butterworth, Penang, and will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In conjunction with the celebration, the three-day Riuh Pi HAWANA Carnival organised by MyCreative Ventures will also be held from June 19, featuring a variety of activities for visitors.
Carrying the theme Media Integrity Strengthens Credibility, HAWANA 2026, organised by the Ministry of Communications with Bernama as the implementing agency, serves as a platform to recognise the contributions, dedication and professionalism of media practitioners in the country.
